Product Description
The Pressure BioSciences, Inc. (PBI) BaroShear™ NE-5 is a medium-sized, floor model ultra-high-pressure homogenizer system designed specifically for manufacturing oil-water nanoemulsions (NE) using PBI’s patented UltraShear Technology™ (UST) platform. The BaroShear NE-5 operates at pressures up to a maximum pressure of 30,000 psi. At maximum pressure, the BaroShear NE-5 is capable of a sustained flow rate of up to 0.8 liters per minute. The BaroShear NE-5 system is capable of producing emulsion droplet sizes from above 200 nm to less than 20nm, depending on formulation, operating parameters, and the number of
passes through the equipment. The system comes with stainless-steel heat exchange coils, and two 10 Liter jacketed pre- and post-process tanks. All BaroShear NE-5 non-consumable parts will be provided by PBI for a period of one year at no additional cost (parts/labor).
